Get your household finances organized in under 10 minutes. This guide walks you through everything from account creation to generating your first financial packet.
Everything in BLOS™ Personal is organized around workspaces. Your workspace is your private financial environment — it saves, restores, and syncs automatically.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is a complete financial profile for your household. It contains all your income, expenses, assets, debts, goals, and identity information in one place. When you log in, your last active workspace loads automatically.
Creating additional workspaces
On the Personal Clarity plan you can have up to 3 workspaces. This is useful if you want to keep separate profiles — for example, a current month view and a planning scenario. Click + New in the Workspaces section of the sidebar to create one.
Renaming a workspace
Hover over any workspace in the sidebar list and click the ✎ pencil icon that appears. Type the new name and press Enter to save.
Switching workspaces
Click any workspace name in the sidebar to switch to it. All data loads instantly. Your previously active workspace is remembered when you log out and back in.
Deleting a workspace
Hover over the workspace in the sidebar and click the ✕ icon that appears, then confirm the deletion.
Your 14-day trial gives you full access to BLOS™ Personal with no credit card required. Here's how it works.
What's included in the trial
- 1 household workspace
- All financial intake forms (income, expenses, assets, debts, goals)
- Live dashboard and statements
- Cloud save and autosave
- Browser print packet (PDF export requires paid plan)
When the trial ends
After 14 days your account enters read-only mode — your data is always safe and viewable, but you won't be able to add new records until you upgrade. You'll receive email reminders at 3 days and 1 day before your trial expires.
Upgrading to Personal Clarity
Click your name in the top right corner of the app, or visit Personal Billing. Choose Monthly ($8/month) or Annual ($79/year — save 18%). You'll be taken to Stripe's secure checkout.
Managing your subscription
After subscribing, a Manage billing button appears on the billing page. Click it to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You'll receive a cancellation confirmation by email with your access end date.
The intake forms are where you enter all your financial data. Each tab covers a different part of your financial picture.
Income Sources
Add every income source your household receives. For each source enter: Name (e.g. "Primary paycheck"), Category (Wages, Business, Benefits, etc.), Amount, and Frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, annual).
Expense Forms
Enter planned and actual amounts for each expense. The variance column shows the difference — green means under budget, red means over. Categories include Housing, Utilities, Food, Transportation, Insurance, and more.
Asset Register
Record everything your household owns: bank accounts, savings accounts, retirement accounts, vehicles, property, and investments. Each asset has a current value which contributes to your net worth calculation.
Debt Schedule
Enter all debts with their balance, monthly payment, and APR. BLOS™ automatically calculates the payoff timeline in months and total interest cost for each debt.
Goals
Set savings goals with a target amount and target date. The dashboard shows a progress bar and projects whether you're on track based on your current cash flow.
Household Name & Period
At the top of the Intake Forms view, fill in your Household Name and Reporting Period (e.g. "May 2026"). These appear on all statements and your financial packet cover page.
The dashboard shows your complete financial picture in real time, calculated automatically from your intake form data.
Metric cards
- Monthly Income — total of all income sources converted to monthly
- Actual Expenses — total monthly expenses entered
- Debt Payments — total monthly debt payments
- Net Cash Flow — income minus expenses minus debt payments
- Net Worth — total assets minus total liabilities
- Goal Gap — total remaining amount across all active savings goals
12-month bar chart
The bar chart projects your income, expenses, and savings across the next 12 months based on your current data. Bars show each month's projected net position.
Packet Readiness
The readiness meter in the top right shows what percentage of required fields are complete. 6 of 6 checks clear means your packet is ready to generate. Incomplete checks are listed below the meter.
Goal progress
Each savings goal shows a progress bar, target date, and projected completion date based on your available monthly cash flow.
BLOS™ generates professional financial statements automatically from your intake form data.
Income Statement
A complete summary of all income sources with amounts, categories, and frequency conversions. Monthly and annual totals are calculated automatically.
Expense Report
Budget vs. actual comparison across all expense categories. Shows planned amounts, actual amounts, variance, and percentage of income for each category.
Balance Sheet
Assets and liabilities side by side, with net worth calculated at the bottom. Organized by asset and liability category.
Debt Schedule
Full breakdown of all debts with balance, monthly payment, APR, and calculated payoff timeline. Total debt, total monthly obligations, and weighted average APR shown at the bottom.
12-Month Forecast
Forward projection of income, expenses, debt payoff, and net worth over the next 12 months based on current data. Shows month-by-month cash position and cumulative savings growth.
The financial packet is a complete, professionally formatted multi-page document that compiles all your financial information into a presentation-ready format.

- Cover page — household name, reporting period, preparation date
- Income statement — all income sources with totals
- Expense report — budget vs. actual comparison
- Balance sheet — assets, liabilities, net worth
- Debt schedule — payoff timelines and interest calculations
- 12-month forecast — forward projection
Generating your packet
Click Packet Builder in the left sidebar to preview all sections, then click Print Packet in the top right. Your browser's print dialog opens.
Saving as PDF
In the print dialog, change the destination to Save as PDF instead of a printer. This creates a PDF file of your complete financial packet.
Using your packet
Your financial packet is useful for: meeting with a financial advisor, applying for a mortgage or loan, annual financial review, tax preparation organization, and sharing with a spouse or partner.
BLOS™ gives you multiple ways to get your data out of the platform.
